The adidas NMD sneaker was first introduced in late 2015 just before the Holidays, ending a memorable year for the brand. The success was immediate and took many by surprise, including the ones who created it. For this style adidas mixed elements from old models such as the Micro Pacer, Rising Star and Boston Super with the new Boost midsole technology. The upper is traditionally a one piece mesh or Primeknit material with synthetic overlays. There are several variations of this sneaker, such as the R1, XR1, CS1 or the chukka boots. Since their debut, adidas has been adding new colorways and made some collaboration editions as well. The most remarkable so far have been the Pharrell Williams “Human Race” and the adidas NMD x Bape collection. The adidas NMD has became in a very short time one of the most successful sneakers of the brand, an instant classic that will be around for many years to come.
