The Converse Mountain Top concept is back in 2019 , this time with a pair of Chuck Taylor 70's ready for the cold season. Back in 2018 Converse introduced this line of utility sneakers with several modified versions of their Fastbreak, One Star and Chuck classics. They featured Gore-Tex infused linings and DWR coated uppers to have them ready for any weather conditions. The collection was inspired after a boot the brand once produced in the 50's and it was intended to be primarily used by the military.
The Converse Mountain Top Chuck Taylor in 2019 stays closer to the original look. It features a weatherproof canvas upper in black with vivid sulfur edges along the top. A new Converse Mountain Top logo is introduced in yellow and red while the classic Chuck logo remains in its place. The midsole features OrthoLite technology for added comfort. The 35 mm high rubber taping and the toe cap add durability and protection in rough weather conditions.
The official release date for the Converse Chuck Taylor Mountain Top in black and vivid sulfur is October 3rd FOR $90 but they are available for pre-order today at Journeys.
