The Air Jordan 5 was released in 1990 with a $125 price tag, being designed by no other that Tinker Hatfield. The new sneaker was released in 4 colorways and included several new elements that weren’t seen at the previous models. The design of the shoe was inspired by a World War II Mustang figher jet and it featured a 3M reflective tongue, side mesh panels, suede upper and the infamous shark teeth on the midsole. Tinker Hatfield have seen the connection between the explosive way the fighter jets strike and Michael Jordan’s game, coming up with the Air Jordan 5. Since 2000 when the sneaker was retroed for the first time there have been over 50 colorways released, cementing  its place as one of the most successful classics sneakers of all times. Some of the best edition include the “Grape”, Black/Metallic Silver, Raging Bull, Laney and White/Fire red colorways.
