The Air Jordan XII (12) was released in 1996 with a $135 price tag, being designed by Tinker Hatfield. Its luxury design was inspired mainly from the Japan Rising Sun flag, boosting an all leather upper. They are considered to be the most durable of the line for this reason and also one of the most comfortable. This is in part because Jordan added for the first time Zoom Air technology to the sole. The Air Jordan X were worn by several of MJ’s team mates, including Scottie Pippen who, for this reason abandoned his signature sneaker in the 96-97 season. The shoe has had several memorable versions over the years, the “Flu Game” series being one that enjoys massive success with every reiteration. Other remarkable colorways include the “Taxi”, “Obsidian” , Drake’s OVO or “Playoffs”, among many others. This is a style that will see for many years to come, a true retro sneaker to stand the test of time.
