With the Nike Air Max Alpha Trainer 4 shoes now trending in the gyms it’s a good time to take a closer look and review its features. Now at it’s 4th edition, this  trainer  is an excellent blend of performance and aesthetics, designed specifically for you to lift heavy weights and support you during everyday workouts. We got our hands this week on a pair in black, red and white , one of our favorites.

This trainer from Nike is an excellent workout shoe for those on a tight budget. This shoe is ideal for everyday workouts, jogging sessions, and even everyday wear thanks to its sleek design and comfortable wide sole. Some even recommend it for trail running but I would rather go with the Juniper trail in that regard.

Moving on to the details of the pair, the black hyperfuse upper is constructed with a neoprene mesh with wide openings for enhanced breathability. For a perfect fit around the foot, the one-piece heel panel extends toward the midfoot and onto the eyestays. Additional supportive red-toned padding is attached around the collar to provide ankle stability during lifting and exercises.

The forefoot is covered with rubber to protect the toes against any pressure. The left foot of the pair features red-colored Air branding on the lateral and medial side of the heel, while the right foot features Max branding on the two sides in the same Chile red hues. Tonal swooshes grace the lateral panels, while the neoprene mesh tongue label also features a hint of red.

On foot,we noticed during this short Nike Air Max Alpha 4 Trainer review that the sneaker fits true to size, while the upper, laces, and heel all come together cohesively to support your feet. The breathable upper ensures your feet don’t get stuffy during the workouts. The padding at the back provides great support while lifting weights and throughout your gym routine. The heel panel wrapped around the midfoot with laces offers substantial support to the midfoot.

This men’s training shoe features a flat wide foam midsole constructed with rubber thread over the classic Nike Air cushioning unit in the heel to give you enhanced stability. The black midsole encases the classic Air cushioning in red and offers great support and stability during the motion. The black midsole also hosts embossed Air Max branding toward the lateral side of the heel.

The white rubber outsole features different patterns underneath to provide support and traction during your workouts and gym rigor.

For a performance shoe, the aesthetics are also on point and it looks great on foot. Sleek design and comfortable sole at an affordable price of $85 offer a great value. It is surely one of the best sneakers in the budget friendly Air Max series. This is a modern training shoe but if you’re looking for a retro look it’s worth having a look at the Reebok Workout Plus.
