The adidas ZX Flux shoes have been released for the first time in 2014 and quickly gained popularity. The ZX Flux line has its roots in the first ZX shoe created by adidas in the 1980s. Back then, the first in the line, the ZX 500, was released in 1984 and caused quite a stir in the running shoes market. The ZX 8000 in 1988 came with advanced features, such as a molded heel cage, which is the basis of the new adidas ZX Flux. In 2014 Adidas decided to strip bare the ZX 8000, throw in some new technology, and the adidas ZX Flux sneaker was born. The shoe has a one-piece upper construction, which is different from the original ZX models that saw several panels being stitched together. Additionally, with more advanced materials and sneaker technology available, the adidas ZX Flux is noticeably lighter and uses a satin finish to often display bold graphics on the shoe.
