Today we’ll take a closer look and review the features of the Adidas Ozrah, an exciting new release from the brand. This style was released at the end of 2021 as part of the Ozweego family of shoes that the Ozelia also is part of. The series is characterized by a whole new, modern look that encapsulates some of the latest technologies and trends from adidas. The German athletic wear company has enjoyed enormous success with the Yeezy line and these new sneakers bear a strong influence from Kanye West designs. In particular the adidas Ozrah design was inspired by the Yeezy Boost 700 wave runner, the two having a very similar silhouette and wavy lines.

How They Fit

The pair we got is a 2022 release, the “pale nude” version that features a winter ready all synthetic leather upper. Out of the box the shoes look very contemporary and feel sturdy, made with quality materials, something that you’d expect from a $140 shoe. They fit a bit snug so getting a half size up may not be a bad idea, at least in my case that is what I wish I would’ve done. The original version features a TPU cage upper combined with nylon so the TPU case conserves that snug fit that I mentioned above. Upper

The upper of the pair I got is made of one piece synthetic leather like material that keeps the same design of the ones with nylon upper. The toebox is quite roomy but the material does not allow much flexibility and getting these to mold on your feet may take a while hence my size recommendation. There are some suede overlays in the front and back that add some nice detailing. Once you get the right size these are very comfortable as they feature plenty of cushioning around the ankle area and tongue. The V-Shaped lacing system is similar to the one from Ozelia, adding to the modern shape of the shoe. They are not that flexible all around so it was not needed much of a review for the adidas Ozrah to realize that these can only shine as casual shoes.

Sole Unit

The sole unit adds a bit more sophistication to the shoe by encapsulating the adiprene plus foam with a transparent rubber casing, another influence from the Yeezy models. The adiprene plus is one of the latest technologies from adidas designed to better absorb the shock and deliver more energy return with each step. While not as soft as the BOOST, it does provide more energy return for sure. The EVA removable insole is detailed with stitching all around, something that we rarely see. The whole sole unit setup adds a bit of weight to the shoe which combined with the upper materials make this sneaker a bit heavy. If used for casual wear this should not be a problem for most, especially given how durable it feels.

Bottom Line

To conclude our adidas Ozrah review, this sneaker is a very stylish, durable sneaker with modern vibes. If you want to move away from the classics this is certainly one style to consider. They make up for excellent casual shoes and they are easy to match with any casual attire. While the retail price is a bit high you can find them nowadays on sale and get even more value from them.
